When I decided to move to the UK as a postgraduate 18 months ago to be a teacher, I would have never suspected returning to Germany as a Sales Manager for an international B2B telemarketing company. Fate obviously had other plans for me as from September 2011, my career path changed completely.
I originally joined Qualifa as a Telemarketing Agent when I graduated from University. In all honesty; I initially came to Qualifa because I needed a full time job and I was still defining my career aspirations. I heard about the company through my boyfriend George; who was working as a Junior Team leader at the time. Although I did not relish the idea of working and living with my partner, I needed a full time job fast, so I jumped at the opportunity.
Hi, my name is Vanya and I have been an intern at Qualifa for the last 12 months.
Now, at what feels like the end of an era, I am sharing some of my thoughts on career, life and more of what I have learnt throughout this year.
Just Do It. What makes a great company (and great life) isn’t so much the inspiring idea as the flawless execution around the big idea. As Thomas Edison once said “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” Whenever people say your dream is impossible – just get the dream done. Be a man with a giant bias towards action and remember that the impossible is generally just the untried.
